Cold Laser (LLLT), Red Light, All Spectrum Light Therapy
Pioneers in Laser Therapy
Established in 1990, MicroLight Corporation of America is a pioneer in cold laser therapy; and the first company with FDA clearance to market low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for the non-surgical treatment of pain through adjunctive therapy in patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The MicroLight patented 830 nanometer (nm) wavelength Gallium-Aluminum-Arsenide (GaAIAs) laser is classified by the FDA as a laser device for adjunctive use in pain therapy. There are 30+ years of clinical studies published on PubMed documenting that the 830nm range is the optimal wavelength to treat pain and inflammation.
In red light therapy, you expose your skin to a lamp, device, or laser with a red light. It uses an LED (light-emitting diode) that emits the correct spectrum of light. Red LED light travels deeper into the skin than blue LED light, which is sometimes used to treat skin surface conditions such as acne. When the light enters your skin, your mitochondria soak it up and make more energy, which helps cells repair themselves.
Red light therapy uses very low levels of heat and doesn’t hurt or burn the skin. Unlike the light used in tanning booths, it doesn’t expose your skin to damaging UV rays.
Shockwave Therapy
What is Shock Wave Therapy?
Shock Wave Therapy (SWT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing in injured tissues. It's commonly used for pain relief, injury recovery, and improved circulation. It is reported highly useful for plantar fasciitis and tennis/golfer’s elbow.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Is it safe? Yes. Shock wave therapy is FDA-approved for several conditions and widely used in clinical settings.
How many sessions will I need? Most patients benefit from 3-6 treatments spaced about a week apart.
Micro and Nano Needling
What to Expect:
• Depending on the area of your face or body being treated and the type of device used (i.e. needle length), the procedure is well-tolerated and in some cases virtually painless, feeling only a mild prickling sensation. If you would like, your practitioner will apply a topical anesthetic to your skin prior to treatment to reduce any pain and discomfort.
• Your skin will be pink or red in appearance, much like a sunburn, for a couple of hours following treatment. Minor bleeding and bruising is possible depending on the length of the needle used and the number of times it is pressed across the treatment area.
• Your skin may feel warm, tight, and itchy for a short while. This should subside in 12-48 hours.
